Welcome, my name is Catherine. I have been practicing for seventeen years. My background is in care sector, having worked with the elderly and adults with learning disabilities for twenty seven years. I gained my level 3 diploma in holistic therapies in 2007. Shortly after qualifying, I spent four years working at the Huntingdon MS therapy centre as a massage therapist, where I gained a deeper knowledge of the anatomy of the body and learnt how to adapt treatments to clients with limited mobility and dexterity. A full consultation is done prior to the first treatment, which is inclusive in the price.

A Unique Approach
Holistic massage
A deeply relaxing massage using warm oil to penetrate the skin on a deeper level. Benefits include, reduction in pain and inflammation, counteraction of dry skin, strengthening of muscles and improved circulation/toxin removal. It is believed to be the most beneficial massage for mood enhancement. The oil can be infused with essential oils if desired.

Reflexology

Aromatherapy massage combines the power of essential oils with massage therapy, benefiting both body and mind. Benefits include, pain relief, relaxation, detoxification of the body and improved mood. The massage involves alternating between gentle and firmer pressure. Essential oils will be tailored to suit the individuals needs.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that's mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow/deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues . This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduces tension in the muscle and tissue. It aims to promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.

Swedish Massage
Swedish massage aims to promote relaxation by releasing muscle tension, creating a calming and balancing effect on the nervous system. Techniques called kneading, tapping and hacking are applied to the muscles and soft tissues ,long fluid strokes are combined with these techniques. It is known as the "classic massage"
